Google hub max nest camera doesn’t connect

Krisnepola

We just bought a google hub max. Everything set up fine, except for the neat camera. It will not let me turn on the monitoring switch and on the best app it says that it is offline although it is not. I have reset, removed and tried to install twice again to no avail.  It is quite frustrating as we have Murillo other cameras that work fine

Hi @Krisnepola have you tried swiping up from the bottom of the nest screen and making sure the camera icon there is toggled on?

I did. It is on. Everything should work.

Are you referring to the camera on the Nest Hub Max or are you referring to some external Nest Cam you're looking to set up and monitor through the Nest Hub Max?

I'm finding it hard to follow where or what your issue might pertain to because your references are quite unclear. There's the nest hub max, then there's the nest camera and then reference to Murillo and other cameras.

My specific response related to the camera that's built in the Max Nest Hub -- if that's not what we're talking about, perhaps another PE who uses the security cameras can chime in as I don't use those products or you can post your issue in the correct subcategory that's specific to Nest cameras.

I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear. I have multiple best cameras. We just purchased The nest hub max and that is the camera that I am referring to that does not work. We also bought two doorbells. I hooked the doorbells up first and they seem to work fine but the camera on the hub max is not working

OK, I had something like this happen but, that was after I upgraded my phone and my camera was offline and I couldn't change the setting with the swipe up from the main Hub Max screen. The camera worked without any extra hoops for me on the initial setup.

Not sure if this is what's going on with you, but I checked settings in the Nest app under The Main screen, and Home/Away assist.  Also on the main screen, I made sure my Nest Hub Max was showing and I clicked that too and made sure all the actions I wanted were set correctly. I also checked under "What decides if I'm home," the option is under Home and Away Assist, and made sure the Nest Hub Max settings were correct.

That's my best guess since I can't see what you have or know what all is involved in your setup. Since I don't use cameras or anything else other than the one on the Max I'm not sure what settings are added or replaced when other peripherals are involved.

As mentioned earlier, if none of those suggestions work you might want to post in the Nest camera. You should probably err on the side of too much info. We can't see what you're doing and that extra detail will help those experts guide you.
