Google nest hub not showing search results

The title says it. I can ask him anything and get a response "here's what I've found..." but it doesn't display anything. "Hey google, what are the latest mega million numbers? Here are the numbers" and it shows nothing. Any ideas?

Yes, I sent the feedback some time ago. I just tested it and it works. Now the display is showing the search results.

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest Hub is not showing any search results. That is an odd issue and I definitely understand your concern. I would be more than happy to help. First, I have some quick questions.

  • Which Google Nest Hub do you have? (1st or 2nd gen.)?
  • Is your device powering on and working normally besides this issue?
  • When you ask a command, does it give you an answer through the speakers at least?
  • Does this happen with all commands?
  • When you ask a command, what do you see?
    • Does the device act like there is a command? Or is your display not moving at all?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

  • Depends on the question. If I ask what is 2+2 it will tell me 4 and it will display 4. If I ask: show me the latest lottery numbers, it will say: "here are the numbers I've found on the web", but it will not display them. Whatever was on the screen when question was asked, stays on the screen. Usually some photos. In general any answers that are the result of a web search do not get displayed. Google will say "here's what I've found", but it will not display the result.
  • I've restarted the device. It did not help.
