Greatest Hits Radio location problem

Nigey777

Hi. Hope I'm in the right place for this. I listen to Greatest Hits radio on my nest Speaker. Over the last few weeks the location has been incorrect. I live in Frome near Bath. Most of the time I get Swindon or Devon even Scotland at times although the command I give is unchanged "PLAY GREATEST HITS RADIO BATH". It's really annoying. I've reset the nest. Rebooted my router but no change. Very frustrating as I don't get the correct news or travel.

Anybody else have this issue?

Hi, @Nigey777,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize that your Google Nest speaker is unable to play the Greatest Hits radio. I’m happy to help you and find a solution.

To help me find a solution, please provide the following information:

  • Please confirm that location is enabled and the Google Home app has permissions to use your phone’s location.
    • Android:
      • Settings > Apps > Google Home > Permissions.
      • Set Location to Allow all the time.
    • iOS:
      • For mobile devices, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Google Home.

Since the Google Nest speaker is not playing the requested radio, please follow these steps:

  • Ask for the station in a different way. For example, if the name didn't work, try the call sign or frequency.
  • Add more specific information, such as "on [radio service]," to your request.
  • When you use the frequency, add the name of a nearby city.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana

Hi there.

The nest is a gen 2 and location is enabled

I've tried various wording to the station to play. The funny thing is a couple days ago when the radio started it was at Wiltshire, then changed to Swindon and then again to Wales. So weird. Also very annoying.

Even this morning it's started at South Wales.
