Trying to keep my home display awake.  It shuts off after a period of time - not sure why.

I reset the display (pushed the two buttons on the back) after unpluging it.  It has resolved the issue for 24 hours so far.

Hi Tim Parker 9940,

Thank you for reaching out. I would be more than happy to help answer your question. First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of the situation.
  • Which Google display device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Is this a new issue? Was your device able to stay on all day before?
  • Do you have an estimated time of when the device shuts off?
  • When you say your device shuts off, does the screen just turn black/off? What do you see?
  • Are you able to see a photo and time on your display throughout the day?
  • When it shuts off, does the device still show up as connected on the Google Home App?
I look forward to your response, thanks.
