How to add a third Google nest mini to a pair of nest minis to cast music. Only seems to allow me to pair two, not 3 speakers? Would like to cast same audio to all 3 speakers?

If you want to group more than 2 speakers, you need to use the "speaker group" not "speaker pair" feature instead.

Open the Google Home app .

Tap Media . You'll find a controller for the content that's playing. The controller will show any compatible devices that are linked to your account or on your Wi-Fi network.

Tap the device you want to add. Audio will begin to play in sync on any devices selected.

Hey kmcfarlin,

How's it going with creating a speaker group with your Google Nest Mini devices? Did the shared link and suggested steps above help?

Thanks for the help, davidking and Johnharper1 — we appreciate your assistance.

Thanks All, for the advice. From what I understand, you can only pair TWO stereo Nest Minis for casting. I was hoping to keep those two stereo speakers paired, and add a third mono speaker on the other side of the room, all playing the same synced music, when casting. But to my best efforts, I don't believe this is possible.

Yep, I tried that. However, it will only play YouTube music or other selected streaming service. It won't allow me to CAST my own music directly from my phone and playlists, to stereo paired speakers, plus a third mono speaker.

Hi kmcfarlin,

Thanks for the update. Currently, you can only cast music from cast-enabled apps like YouTube Music, Spotify, and Pandora. If you are using an Android phone, you can cast the audio to your phone to your Nest Mini. Visit this link to learn more.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
