Hub Max how to make weather display when room is dark instead of screen turning off

When I turn the lights off and the room is dark the display goes dim and displays just a clock. I want it to continue to display the weather screen. Anyway to do this?

Hi DanPH77,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that you would like to display the weather on your Nest Hub Max instead of showing the clock when the lights are off. I'm here to help.

For this concern, as a suggestion, you can set up a photo frame and then select the options to weather on the display. Here are the steps on how to set up a photo frame:

  1. Open the Google Home app:
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  4. Tap Settings and then Photo Frame, and then adjust the settings you want.

In more settings, please do the following:

  • To show the weather in Photo Frame, select Show. You'll get the local weather for the address of your home in the Google Home app.
  • To check the address entered for your home, open the Google Home app, then tap Settings and then check under the name of your home.
  • To change the address, tap your home name, then Home address, and then Edit.

We're always looking for improvements; please share your experience and submit it to the feedback form so it can address this concern in future updates.

Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

Regards,

Byron

You told me how to display the weather not how to continue to display the weather once the lights are turn off and the room is dark activating low light mode which forces the screen to dim and only show the clock.

So there is no way to keep the screen on all the time? There is no motion detection for the screen to turn on?

Its simply: Room goes dark = screen dim clock

Room gets some light = screen comes back on with selected photo frame
