I don't want Next making calls for me

I only use my cell phone to make calls and don't want Nest to try to make the call when I say "Hey Google, call xyz...".  How do I stop Nest from making ANY calls for me?  This seem so simple.  Would you really want the entire room to listen to your calls?  I must be missing something fundamental but can't find the answer.

Sorry, subject should say "Nest", not "Next."

Hi marrtw,

Thanks for reaching out.

While we don't have a way to disable the calling feature of your Nest devices, you can either mute them if you're going to make calls on your phone so that it will not hear you or adjust it's sensitivity. Here are the steps:

  1. Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings > Audio > “Hey Google” sensitivity.
  5. Use the slider to raise or lower the device's sensitivity to make it more or less responsive to "Hey Google".

Hope this helps.

Best,

Alex
