I have moved and deleted my old Google Home location, now I can't setup my hub max

I'm trying to setup my Google Hub max but it says "This Nest Hub Max is connected to another account or home" I deleted my old home and no longer have access to 'remove' from the old location. I have reset the unit but when I try to set it up it gives me the same message. Help please!

@Eric45069

Since you did not remove your Nest Hub Max from your old "home" before deleting your old "home", you may have to contact Google Nest Support for help in getting past Google Nest's "connected to another account or home" restriction: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.

Hi Eric45069,

Thanks to @MplsCustomer for helping here.

Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. I know how excited you are to be able to use your Nest Hub Max again. Are you still using the same email address linked on the Google Home app? If yes, please try these steps below:

  1. Go to "Your devices". Make sure to log into your account.
  2. Check if you can see your old home and Nest Hub Max.
  3. Tap the three dots to remove.
  4. Reset your Nest Hub Max then try to setup again.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
