Keeping the screen on

How can I command the screen the stay on? I’m trying to use the Hub for a child’s spelling, he looks up the definitions and copies them, but the screen returns to home very quickly and he has to ask for the definition over and over again. Same issue for reading any kind of results, I have to keep my finger on it to prevent it from returning to Home Screen. 
What can I do to keep results longer?
