My Google Mini speaker keeps saying Mic off and then Mic on randomly and often. It'll do it at 2 am I the morning waking us up. I have rebooted it several times. Eventually I just pull the plug so we don't hear it anymore. It will do it even if we are listening to music. Just randomly say Mic off Mic in in the middle of a song. About to just throw it in the recycling.

Hi Jake, I am going to plug it back on now and see if it still has the mic on/off issue. I will let you know how it goes, was there a recent software fix for this?back

Hi Jake, I still have the same issue, randomly it says the mic is off /the mic is on without me touching the mic key. I have unplugged the unit now as it is very annoying.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? it must be a known issue as there are many people complaining about the same issue.
Regards,
Brad

Hey BradRapids,
I am sorry to hear you are still running into the issue. I understand that this is no the most ideal situation, especially in the middle of the night. I would be happy to assist you further, and run through some troubleshooting steps. Do you mind me asking if the power cable you are using is the one that came with the device? When you switch the mute button on/off, are you seeing the LED light up? Have you tried a factory reset on the device?
Please let me know, as I would like to ensure everything is working as intended from here.
Best regards,
Jake

Hi Jake, sorry I came down with covid and wasn't feeling all that great. I have not factory reset the mini yet, shall I do that or is there any diagnostic data you can obtain before me doing that?

Hey BradRapids,
I am sorry to hear you had got sick. Glad you are feeling better now though! I would recommend trying a factory reset on the device if all other troubleshooting steps have failed. This should reset the device, and may fix the issue. Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue is still present after.
Best regards,
Jake

Hi all, my nest mini do the same thing. Somehow my Google nest Mini keeps say the mic is off and then the mic is on over and over. I already make sure the button on the back, but it still do the same things over and over. I tried factory reset today and see if its says mic on off again.

No. Reset didn't help. I gave up and threw it out. Can't have it going off in the middle of the night all the time.
