Multiple spotify accounts

shisusan

Hi,

I made a post a while ago, but didn't check in time to respond before it closed. The original was:

"We have a google home mini in our kitchen, and I have a spotify premium account. It's linked to the home mini, and so whenever one of us asks it to play music, it will use that account to play the music. However, occasionally I will be using the account on my phone, and someone else will start using it on the home mini, and then it stop mine, and start playing on the speaker. I'm wondering if there is anyway to link multiple accounts to the same speaker."

The person who answered misunderstood my question, which is understandable as I was vague. When I say "multiple accounts" what I meant was multiple "spotify" accounts. So, to rephrase properly, is there anyway to link multiple spotify accounts to the same google home mini. I.e. have multiple google accounts linked to it, and each one has it's own spotify so that when it recognises a certain persons voice, it plays music from their spotify account.

Thanks

Hey there shisusan,

I'm sorry that I misunderstood your question. I'm so sorry for the late response, but I wanted to hop in here to make sure we helped you.

You can use Google Voice Match to add more Google accounts to your device which you can then link to more Spotify accounts.

Or, to switch accounts, unlink the current Spotify account:

  1. In the Google Home app, tap Account in the top-right.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Music under services.
  4. Tap UNLINK.
  5. Link a new Spotify account.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS
