My Google Hub stopped taking the command "set a xxxxx timer".

Google Hub stopped setting up timers. Whenever I ask it to it responds with "sorry I am unable to create a timer right now"  I've read that it is a bug and to change the language to English Canadian. Hasn't worked for me. Also tried resetting the hub. Not working. What's the go Google?
