We got all our cameras working and connected to the Hub max but cannot get the camera to work on the display. It stays offline. We removed the device and started over and still not working. We don’t want to have to remove all cameras and doorbell and start over. This is obviously a common problem. Any suggestions?

Some customers have reported that they have been able to get past the "assisting device" or other problems in setting up new cameras by temporarily turning off their other Nest cameras or devices from within the Google Nest app or the Google Home app, performing the setup, and then turning the other devices back on.
We haven't encountered the problem, so I don't know whether this will work for you, but it's the least disruptive option I've seen reported.

I am having the same issue. I have tried to factory reset, Uninstall & Install Google Home and Nest app but nothing worked. Let me know if you find any solution.

Same here. I'm dumbfounded. Its like the camera is unplugged, but how can that be?

You've followed the "Set up Nest Cam" instructions for the Nest Hub Max? That's what we used for ours.
