My nest disconnected from the WiFi and wouldn’t reconnect. And now it just has a flashing red light

My Nest stopped connecting to my WiFi and wouldn’t reconnect. Then it just stopped doing anything, basically. It has a flashing red light at the top. I’ve turned it off and on again and not only does it not do anything but when it’s unplugged, the red light still flashes.

Thank you for your message. That is not great to hear that your device is not reconnecting to WiFi. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution with you. First, I have some questions.
  • Which nest device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Is your device powering on?
  • Is your device showing up in the Google Home App?
  • Are you receiving any error messages? What does it say? 
  • Have you tried to conduct a reboot or a Factory Data Reset on the affected device?
