Need PHONE calls, not duo.

Hi! 

I have Hub 2 and nest audio. I need an option to say "OK google, call Veronica" and that the phone start calling Verónica. Currently, when the hub 2 or nest audio listen my command they just keep telling me that my contact doesn't have duo and I should invite her to join. That's really frustrating because nobody in Mexico is interested in installing a complete app just to receive my phone calls.

I have tried but can't find a way to make the hub and nest stop all his letany of "the need to install duo etc etc" and simply start calling my contact with a phone call using the smartphone. 

Is that possible?

So the carrier calling is only available for that list of countries and carriers?

Also, the Google Duo app is needed on both sides for you to be able to reach each other. You can refer to the link above for more detailed info and options on how to use our calling feature.

Thanks for replying. I just wish it could be possible to make phone calls without depending of local carriers. I understand it's not possible but hope this feature to be implemented in the future.

I understand. Including carrier calling, here are the features you can choose from if you want to use your Nest devices for calls: Duo Calling, Google-supported calls, Carrier calling.
