Nest Audio Just doesn't work

I couldn't be more frustrated.

Set my speakers up as a stereo pair. With Spotify, the pair will say it's playing in Google Home, but it's not. No sound (and no, the volume isn't down).

Then, since it seems like the speakers have issues with Spotify (because, of course, why wouldn't they), I tried playing Amazon Music.

The music will play for about 15 seconds, and then just stop.

I've tried playing through the Google Home app, casting to the pair through the music apps themselves, rebooted both, done factory resets on both. Nothing works. I'm using an Android phone and my house is lined with Google mesh wifi.

I'm also an engineer, so I speak fluent tech. This is unacceptable for Google to sell products that clearly aren't ready for prime time. And in looking at these boards, these clearly aren't.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix these pieces of junk?

I have the same problem with these set up as stereo pairs. They are set up properly and I can see them in the Google home app. They just can't connect to the music app. I have other Google devices on the network that plays from my Spotify just fine. It's just when these are set up in stereo pair, that's when they don't work, which is pretty sad considering these are sold as speakers. Have tried factory resetting both and repairing, still a no go.

The weird thing is that they were working fine when I first got them. Then I had this stereo pair problem a few months after and had to go through this resetting and pairing again, where it worked after a lot of headaches. Then now all of a sudden it stopped working again and I went through the whole resetting and pairing again, but this time it doesn't work.

Very unexpected and disappointing coming from a Google product.

I have the same issue with just one. I really didn’t buy a speaker to have to troubleshoot for 2 hours every time I want to put on some music. it’s going in the trash
