The Nest Audio powers up ok. The four moving dots indicate it's ready for pairing (I think?) but it just cannot be found using Google Home (Android phone).
I've tried:
- factory reset method 1: doesn't respond to finger on the top-middle
- factory reset method 2: after plugging it back for the 10th time, it just boots up like usual and the four dots start to move
- packed it away and ignored it for six months. Tried connecting it again, didn't work; tried factory reset both methods again, didn't work
- looked at and tried the advice in other threads in this forum, such as the ones about factory reset using two phones
- set up another new Nest Audio (we just happened to have one on hand) and there was absolutely no issues with connecting that other Nest to Google Home
Help...did I get a dud?
It's a gift from my employer, so I don't even know when and which store it was bought. I only know it was manufactured in Dec 2021 and bought most likely somewhere in Singapore.
