Nest Cameras and doorbell not working with hub max and 2nd gen

I have both the max and the second Gen hubs along with several nest and Google cameras.
when my nest cameras see movement the send a message to my echo devices and they notify me, but my Google cameras and nest cameras never notify me on my Google hubs. I have tried just about everything and the cameras won’t notify me on the hubs. If someone rings the hello doorbell it does show up on my screens only.

i can say hey Google show me the driveway cameras and it will show me the driveway feed but I have to ask. How can I get any movement the camera sees to notify my Google hubs? I am using both echo and Google hubs in my home. Trying to phase out the echo’s but right now I can’t until I can get the hubs to notify me.

thanks for your time

Hi sjm1027,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

If your devices are all set up and completely connected, you can turn on Visitor Announcement settings to notify you.

Nest doorbell (battery) and other compatible doorbells

  1. Open the Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. In the top right, tap Settings and then Doorbell.
  4. Turn Visitor announcements on or off.

Note: You can also use Do Not Disturb to temporarily turn off visitor announcements for your Google speaker or display.

Nest doorbell (wired)

To turn visitor announcements on:

  1. Open the Nest app app home icon.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings Nest settings icon and then Visitor announcements. This will take you to the Google Home app.
  4. When asked, follow the onscreen prompts in the Google Home app to complete setup.

To turn visitor announcements off, turn off your display notificationsYou can also use Do Not Disturb to temporarily turn off visitor announcements for your Google speaker or display.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess

I called support yesterday and found out only the door bell will notify my Google hubs. I guess I will have to keep my Echo’s to do this job.
