Nest Hub Max doesn’t show WiFi networks

DUsner

This Nest Hub Max has worked perfect for almost 3 years, but yesterday it lost connection.  I removed the device from the Google Home app, tried factory reset multiple times, but it won’t connect to WiFi.  I’ve tried setup on both iPhone 16 Pro and iPad that were previously connected; during setup I can locate the Nest Hub Max and enter the code, but then it shows no WiFi networks.  I don’t understand how that’s possible since there are at least 5 other networks shown on my phone and iPad.

I have TP-Link WAPs and the Nest Speaker works fine, but the Hub Max displays NO networks.

Hi there!

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Hub Max has suddenly stopped detecting Wi-Fi networks. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • Is the Nest Hub Max powered on?
  • How far is the Nest Hub Max from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the Nest Hub Max?
  • Are there other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi where the Nest Hub Max is connected?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany

  • Yes, it is powered on
  • It is located in the same place that it’s worked fine for 2 years - approx 30 ft from the wireless access point. I even moved it to less than 6 ft from the WiFi and it made no difference. It finds NO WiFi networks.
  • yes, there are several other devices within a few feet of the Nest Hub Max. In fact, one of the devices is a Nest Mini Speaker. Also there are at least 7 visible WiFi networks on all other phones, tablets, tv, Amazon devices.

Hi @DUsner,

Thanks for the follow-up information.

Please try the steps here:

  • Reboot the router: Unplug the Wi-Fi router from the power source for 2 minutes.
  • Restart your Google Nest Hub Max: A simple restart can resolve minor glitches. Refer to this article: Reboot Google Nest Hub Max.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Melany

Thanks. I tried this and still no WiFi networks showing.
