My Nest Hub Max is playing music from Spotify but seems to lose control of it. Now no matter what voice command I give, it responds with "Nothing is playing right now". Also, I noticed even though the music is playing, the default Google Wallpaper background is showing instead of the usual Spotify controls. Sometimes the Spotify controls is displayed but it seems to have frozen and there's no way to interact with any buttons displayed, then suddenly the Nest Hub Max will say, "Something is wrong, please try again later" while the music continues to play. Factory-reseting the device and restarting my internet router doesn't resolve this issue at all. What else can I do?

Hi Acapricornia,
Thanks for reaching out. Oh no! I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest Hub Max is not recognizing your Spotify verbally and visually. I use my Spotify all the time so I definitely understand your concern. First, I have some quick questions regarding this situation.
Please keep me updated, I look forward to your response!

Hi Frances, sorry has been a hectic few days. Just tried your suggestions and it is still happening. At least I'm able to isolate the problem a bit and this is what I have found. I have 3-4 Google Devices and it is happening on all of them so it doesn't just happen with the Nest Hub Max. I tried setting YouTube Music as my default music service while I unlinked my Spotify. No issue when playing music when I do that. After I re-linked my Spotify account it happens again consistently across all Google devices right away. So could it be Spotify causing the problem? But what's surprising is that Spotify is "frozen" on the screen while the music is playing. None of the controls work at all. So I'm wondering if Spotify is not compatible with Google anymore, which obviously doesn't make sense 🤣

Hi Acapricornia,
Thank you for testing a variety of devices, I appreciate it!
Unfortunately, there is an issue that the team is aware of, where Google Assistant voice commands is not working well with Spotify, and saying error messages. Based on the information you have given me, it appears to be that issue.
The team is currently working on this issue. In the meantime, I'd recommend casting your Spotify from another device to your preferred speaker(s).
Lastly, I would appreciate it you could send in feedback regarding this issue. Here are the steps to sending in feedback. Thanks!

Thanks GarrettDS, I just sent the following feedback as suggested by the previous message...
"My NestHub Max keeps responding with "Something went wrong. When you're ready, give it another try." whenever I ask it to play music from Spotify. It continues to play music but the display is not showing the Spotify playing.
Instead it goes back to displaying the home screen instead. It might be worth mentioning that I did notice that it did attempt to load Spotify with it appearing to continuing attempt to load before reverting to the home screen as it came up with the "Something went wrong" response as mentioned earlier in this message while it continues to play music.
It gets very annoying these days as it keeps happening. Seems to be happening across all my Google devices. Btw, this issue does not exist when playing music via YouTube Music. Hope all this helps."
