Nest Hub Max reminders not working

sergeyp
Community Member

Reminders would never trigger when I set them up on my HubMax. The device show my reminders when I ask it to.

When my wife asks the same device for a reminder it triggers as expected.

We just made an experiment. I asked the Hub to set a reminder (test) in 5 minutes, my wife asked it to set a reminder (test 2) in 10 minutes. Radio silence 5 minutes later and a (test 2) reminder popped-up in 10 minutes. After asking to show me my reminders, the (test) reminder was shown as an overdue.

When I ask the device "Who am I" - I get properly identified.

Hey sergeyp,

Thanks for visiting the community.

My apologies for the delayed response here. I understand the feeling when one of the features of your Google Nest Hub Max is not working properly. To confirm, did you hear a chime whenever your reminder is due? Please note that it is normal that your test reminder shows as overdue since it's already past the time.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hello @Muddi ,

I hear nothing. The time just passes by with no reminders textual nor audio.

Thank you,

Sergey

Hey sergeyp,

Thanks for sharing the video. From what I saw on the video, your device did not show or notify you at 12:51. Could you try setting up another reminder that will be due after 10 mins. Let's see if you will experience the same issue. Also, try these steps below to refresh all the settings on your device.

  1. Remove the device from the old Home.
    1. Open the Google Home app.
    2. Tap the device > Settings > Unlink or Remove device > Unlink or Remove.
  2. Perform a factory reset on Nest Hub Max. To do this, hold the volume up and volume down buttons for 10 seconds.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
