Nest Hub Sleep Sensing no data. Please help

Anyone have an issue with the Nest Hub saying No Sleep data past 24 hrs? No matter what I do I can get data out of it. I recently thought maybe its the way I sleep. So I gave it to the other person in the house whos Hub records sleep and we swapped and it recorded data for them but theirs didnt record data for me still...I dont sleep on one side of the bed...I move around to both sides or in the middle. I asked them how they sleep and they said they only sleep in one spot and dont move. So I guess this thing doesnt work unless you sleep within arms reach of it?

Hi @DanPH77!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve experienced with your Nest Hub. I understand that you are trying to use the Sleep Sensing feature, but it is not recording or tracking your data. You tried giving the device to someone else, and it worked well, but when you tried to use it again, the trouble persisted. Let’s solve this together.

I understand that it worked for another person but not for you, then I will suggest you to recalibrate your sleep spot. You can follow the next steps:

  • From the bottom of the display, swipe upwards.
  • Tap Settings, go to Sleep Sensing, then turn on Sleep Sensing, and finally hit Calibrate Device.
  • Follow the instructions on the display to use the Sleep Sensing.

I will also recommend you remove any objects between you and the display screen and check that the Nest Hub is within 1 foot of the height of the mattress and that it’s within arm’s reach and faces your torso when you lie in bed.

You can also check the next article for further information: Sleep Sensing on Google Nest Hub (2nd gen)

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.

I have tried recalibrating it a couple times. Does this thing only work if you’re within arms reach? Because I sleep in a queen bed alone and sometimes I sleep on the other side of the bed away from it. And sometimes I sleep in the middle of the bed. I’m not always right up beside it.

if I have to stay within arms reach of it for it to work its prob not going to happen because I dont stay still while sleeping I move around the entire bed.
