Nest Hub displays wrong language

I've bought a couple nest hubs and two of them have been shipped from Germany. The default language from the germen version stays in german but I want it in Dutch or English. The ones bought locally are in dutch without any problems.

When I cast youtube from my mobile (dutch language) the youtube app on the nest is in german. The assistant is in dutch and most of the interface is in dutch. All the smart switches are not showing up eighter. When I scroll trough the boards most of it is dutch but some in german. The settings page is completely german.

I did do a reset and I've checked the language and location settings. They are all set to dutch.

I've no idea how to fix it because the previous "solution" doesn't work for me.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. 

 

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. I want to know a couple of things. Do you have other users linked in your Google Home app? If so, are they using only Dutch language in their Google Assistant settings? Below are the steps to check that.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Locate and tap the Account icon.
  3. At the top-right, tap the Account icon.
  4. Tap Assistant settings and then Languages and then Add a language.
  5. Choose the preferred language to add. It will immediately apply the selection.

Could you also confirm if this is how you did the reset? Check the step below. 

On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.
