Nest Hub stuck on G screen

Are 1st generation nest hubs repairable? Mine is stuck on the G screen and I have tried everything suggested by support. At this point do I trash it? Can it be salvaged? I’m really frustrated right now because no help was offered besides doing a factory reset when they know that’s not going to work.

If you haven't done so already, you could try putting your Nest Hub into "recovery mode" as described by @David_K  on this post:

Tried that and it didn’t work.

Also, please provide the information needed below:

 

  • When did you first notice the (stuck on “G” logo) issue?
  • Was the device already in this state when you first discovered it?
  • If not, was the device in use when it happened?
    If so, what were you trying to do?
  • Did you unplug the device before you noticed the issue?
  • Was there a power outage shortly before you discovered the issue?
  • When and where did you purchase your device?
