New gen 2 nest mini, can be seen in Home app and volume can be controlled. Mini will respond to voice commands but appears offline in Home App.
Mini will prompt us to log into the home app daily to configure the Mini but it will not finish setup. Setup fails at final stage of saving settings.
Tried all the recommended steps in other posts but no luck. Please help.

Thanks for posting — let's get this sorted out. A few questions: are you using a dual-band router? If yes, on which band are you connecting your Google Nest Mini? Do you have other Google Home devices connected to the same network?

Yes, I do have a dual band router. I've attempted set up on both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. I have 2 first gen Mini's and a google home running. They all work correctly on either network.

Thanks for the additional info. Could you move the Google Nest Mini closer to the router? Also, do still remember when and where did you purchase your Google Nest Mini so we can check your warranty options?

The Mini is next to the router, no change. The device was a gift to my daughter for her birthday. we do not know when or where it was purchased.
Is there a firmware update that could fix this issue?

I was using an Android phone nut tried an Iphone yeserday. It completed setup and appeared to be working. Later in the day when I tried to use the mini I was asked to log into the home app to set it up again. Then this morning I have a notification that the device was removed from my home.
