Nest connection problem

Hi, my Nest speaker has been saying “there’s a glitch, try again in a few seconds” for two weeks now. No changes to position or router. The only thing I did was unplug to clean surface & replugged that evening. Any help would be appreciated. Ps, when I speak very slowly my words appear but still the glitch message

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear that your speaker and two Google Nest Hubs are experiencing issues with their Google Assistant feature. I understand your frustration and would be more than happy to help.


First, could you both try these troubleshooting steps? 

  • reboot and Factory Data Reset on your device. 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

Please let me know if the issue still persists after these steps.
