Nest hub max issue setting up nest cam

Struggling to get nest cam on nest hub max to setup. Evrytime I scan the qr code I either get a "try moving closer" error or a "cannot communicate with google" error. Have tried resetting the hub max, removing it from home and adding it to new home, also tried with a different Google account and wifi network with no other devices connected.

Any suggestions on how to get this to work would be helpful. Tried duo video calls and the camera works for the call

A few questions: what’s the make and model of the mobile device you used for the setup? What’s the firmware version of the Nest Hub Max? What is the make and model of your router? How far is the router from the device(s)?
