When you ask the google nest to do anything she says there's a glitch any try later. I also have a google home and an Elexa in my home and they both work fine. I've tried to reset the nest hub and rebooting my WiFi. But as everything else is working OK on the WiFi,(google home, printer,Elexa and sky multiroom are all ok) I don't think the wifi is the problem

Yes the nest was working OK
Yes I reset the nest by the volume button and also reset my broadband (Eir)
As I've already said I've also have a google home and a elaxa and both of them are working perfectly.

The nest is not working I said it was working OK at the start. But it is not working now. As I've stated I've done a full reset. I also said that I have two devices that are working OK

Hello steelehowth,
We're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on.
Was it working before? Could you tell us what router you're using? When you mentioned you reset your Google Nest Hub, did you press and hold (long press) both volume buttons for about 10 seconds?
Keep us posted.
Best,
Alex

Hey folks,
Sorry for the delays. Just an added questions: which specific Nest Hub do you have (1st, 2nd gen, Hub Max)? Have you tried connecting your Nest Hub to a different network like mobile hotspot to further isolate the issue?
Cheers,
Muddi

I've a google nest 2nd generation. As I've already stated I've two other devices that are working properly on my network. It's like the google nest does not hear the command you give it. Because it the same thing all the time. Google say that was a glitch and try later. That is the same if you are asking for a song to be played or asking google to pause a song when you eventually get one.

Hey steelehowth,
I understand that there are other devices that are working on the same network. I just want to make sure that we cover all the bases here. It is best if we could try setting up your Nest Hub (2nd gen) to a different network like mobile hotspot to check if it still has the same behavior. If you want to proceed, note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest Hub 2nd gen).

Muddi

I won't be able to check it on mobile data because where I live is not a good area. That is the only reason I have my broadband through the phone line.

Hey steelehowth,
Got it! Let's check the settings on your router. If you're not familiar with how to do it, please call your network/router provider for help. Could you check if the iPv6 on your router is enabled. Also, try changing the channel settings on your router to 1,6, or 11. This will help us improve the signal of your network.
Cheers,
Muddi

As I've have already said I have a google home and an Elexa as well as other wifi devices. The issue with the nest is it does not recognise the command it is being told. You can see on the screen that the command was not registered

Hi steelehowth,
Understood! Please note that Google Home speakers and Alexa have different system firmware compared to Nest Hub. The best thing to isolate the issue is to check the settings on your router to make sure that it doesn't limit the functionality of your device. Let's give it a try!

Hey steelehowth,
Thanks for sharing. To confirm, is there an option to turn off the iPv6 on your router?

I turned off the ipvp6 it seems to be a little better. So I'm also trying different channels to get all my WiFi devices to work on the same channel. So I'll let you know after I have tried it for a while
