Hi rsurendrasinh,

That's frustrating! It sounds like you've already tried some good troubleshooting steps for your Nest Hub that wouldn't power on. Here are a couple more things you can try:

  • Double-check the Power Adapter: Make sure the power adapter is firmly plugged into both the Nest Hub and the wall outlet. You can also try using a different power adapter, if available, to see if the original one might be faulty.
  • Forced Factory Reset: Nest Hub has a forced factory reset option. Press and hold both volume buttons on the back of the device for about 10 seconds. The Nest Hub should announce it's resetting. Keep in mind this will erase all your settings and information stored on the device.

If none of these solutions work, it might be an internal hardware issue. You can also check troubleshooting guide for Nest Hub specifically in this article Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays.

If ultimately none of these solutions work, your Nest Hub might require further repair or replacement. You can contact Google Nest support for further assistance by using this form Contact Us.

Keep us posted.

Regards,

Ivan

Hi Mansi, Thanks for advise. I have already done the steps as you mentioned. But finally the issue has been resolved by resetting it.
As I tried couple of times observed that at some stage the device was able power on and then turned off immediately. So, I suspect the issue with android OS. So, I tried again and again to power on. After many efforts the device was able to power on and then able to reset it. Now it’s working fine now. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Manasi,

Thank you for posting. Sorry that the Google Nest Hub doesn't power on.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to check if this works:

  1. Plug the display into a different wall outlet.
Note: Make sure they are not connected to a surge protector to rule out all other hardware.
  2. Discharge the display.
    1. Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker or display.
    2. Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
    3. Plug the power adapter into the speaker or display.
    4. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that works.
    5. Check if any LED lights appear on the speaker or display.

3. If you have an additional Google Nest hub, try to use the power adapter from the one that currently works.

If none of the above does not work, please check the following links to: reboot the Google Nest hub or factory reset the Google Nest hub

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Byron

Thanks Byron. Unfortunately none of the above steps work for me… anything else you can suggest to bring it back to life?

I have done all the steps as you mentioned. I can buy another adapter but I suspect if there is an issue with internal device then it won’t power on. I tried lots of time it was power on once but when I moved it little bit then suddenly  power off the device. Looks like faulty power socket or may be inside a loose connection.
