Nest mini firmware

I recently got a Nest mini running firmware v1.54.279716.  The latest version is  v1.56.299498; however, I have not been able to "force" a firmware update.  I have factory reset the device a couple of times to no avail.  Does anyone know how to get my device to get the latest firmware?  Thanks.

I don't think we can obtain a firmware update at will; it seems we get them only when Google Nest decides to push them out: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9335964?hl=en

Thanks.  According to this firmware release page, which was last updated 2 months ago on 5/17/22.

@graffixx

Yeah, whatever that means.  Three of our Nest Hubs got the latest firmware update weeks ago, but the fourth one has not.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate you sharing some info @MplsCustomer.

@graffixx, thanks for bringing this up. @MplsCustomer is right, firmware update is sent OTA (over-the-air), as long as your device is plugged in and connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection, it should receive the latest firmware version. Some updates would take time as it is gradually released to all of the users. Let's keep on monitoring your device's behavior and check the firmware from time to time. Let us know if it stays the same.
