Hi,
Much like the post here https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Volume-sensor-lights-won-t-turn-off/td-.... I took have the same issue - the nest minis volume LEDs won't turn off. I turn on ultrasonic sensors to get the lights to turn off and then turn it off when the lights as out. I have done this event night for the last 2 months and am getting fed up of doing this.
If I keep ultrasonic sensing on permanently, the nest mini makes very loud popping noises throughout the night.
I have tried resetting and getting a different unit via warranty and still no luck. This seems to be a software issue.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi g189ffin,
Thanks for posting ― let’s check this out.
Could you provide the cast firmware version of your newly replaced Google Nest Mini? Here’s how: Find your device's firmware version
Best,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Te current firmware version is 1.56.309385. this was the version of the best mini that was replaced too. From reading other community forums, this feels like a software bug which didn't exist in the previous versions but it does in this version as Google have replaced the nest mini to a brand new item. The device has gone through several software resets and attempts at troubleshooting by Google customer service too.
How would these get resolved?
