New Nest Audio not working out of the box

I just unboxed a new Nest Audio but it seems to be faulty from the start. When i powered it up, it started with 2 middle white leds turning on, then to 4 dim white leds which then becomes brighter after a sec or so and then it stays there. Four constant on white leds. 

I read about the factory reset, so i tried that, but turning the mic off, didn't cause the white leds to turn orange, and placing my finger at the middle area for 5 secs or more, doesn't trigger any response from the device as well.

I then tried the plug in-plug out-wait for 10secs and repeat again for 10 times, it's still the same, 4 white leds constant on. 

Occasionally after i plug in, and after the 2 middle leds turns white and then all 4 turns on... The 4 leds will start a sequence of moving from left to right and repeating for less than a minute before all leds turn off and that's it.

I've not heard any voice prompt throughout since i unboxed it. Not a single sound of of the speaker since powering up.

Does it look like the device is a dead-on-arrival?

Hey Cyberkinetic,

 

That certainly hasn't been easy for you and we appreciate the steps you've done so far.

 

A quick question: where and when did you purchase your Google Nest Audio? Seems like you're already exhausted all troubleshooting and the next step is replacing your device. If you purchased your device and bought it from a retail store, you can get in touch with them for a faster replacement. If you bought it from Google Store, kindly fill out this form.
