Please wait while I connect to the internet

'Please wait while I connect to the internet' I keep waking up in the early hours of the morning to find my Google Hub clock screen gone. When I ask Google a question it says 'Please wait while I connect to the internet'. My mobile which is connected to the same WiFi has a strong signal.

After a while it seems to reconnect by itself, it's currently only a few weeks old (under warranty) so if there's something wrong with it I need to know now. NB I have tried resetting the device and it continues to have the same problem.

Hey L-Bids,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue, and my apologies for the late response here.

I know how challenging it is when your Google Nest Hub keeps on disconnecting to the network. We are getting similar reports and the team is looking into this issue at hand. Could you check the current operating and system version of your device. Follow the steps below to know-how:

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings > About device. You should find your "Software version", "Cast firmware version", and "Operating system version." Please take a photo and share it here.

Looking forward to your response.

Hey L-Bids,

How's it going with your Nest Hub? Have you had the chance to check the firmware and operating system version?

Cheers,
