Power Supply for Google Nest Hub (2. gen)

Heinerrich
Community Member

Hi There,

I have some installation questions. My Google Nest Hub is placed on a narrow desk. To get there one cable without much visibility is hard enough. But this place would also be perfect for charging a smartphone during the day! So does anybody has a solution for

a) charging the nest hub with an USB-HUB or usb-a or c charger?
b) use the Nest Hub for charging other devices with some split-cable or not visible usb-connector?
c) last solution (and a little bit off topic here) for some kitchen-mount of the phone: a charger and magsafe 2 in 1 solution beeing nearly flat on the wall?

best regards

H.

Hey Heinerrich,

Thanks for visiting the community.

Please note that all of our Google Home/Nest speakers and displays are not battery-operated. The devices must plug into an outlet to work. Click here for more information about the Google Nest and Home device specifications.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Nikki,

no, not at all. It is clear that the devices are not battery powered! My question was to supply with a different supply-cable or find some other solutions to use the very cool nest-hubs also for charging mobilephones at home. its always not very beautiful in a room to have a lot of cables visible. reducing and shortening the length would be great.

or maybe google thinks about the next nest-hub model with a build in qi-charger?

best regards,

H.

Hi Heinerrich,

We appreciate your honest feedback and I know it would be very convenient if that would be available soon.

In the meantime, we’d like to encourage you to send a feedback for any features that you’re looking forward to using with our Google Nest devices. Let's all hope for those possibilities to happen in the future.

Cheers,

Princess
