RadioApp will not load on my Nest Hub Max. Other nest devices in the same household are fine.
Has been working fine, but stopped within the last week or so. Responds to my voice command "Play 3AW' but then the loading process freezes. Other radio services seem fine (iHeartradio) works on the Hub max, but RadioApp does not.
Contacted Google support via email ... the suggested the usual reboot and update solutions ... no change. Opened a chat to Google support, nothing additional to help, but they did suggest to open a Feedback on the issue through the Google home app. When enough people report the same issue, it gets the attention of the next level support people, who should be able to resolve the issue.
** UPDATE **
This is a Google issue ... probably a bug in a recent firmware upgrade that you have no control over.
If you are on firmware level 26.20250116.103.2201 you will probably have the problem.
It is a worldwide issue for Nest Hub devices. Google are aware and some users in the UK have recently reported their problem has been fixed. Hopefully just a matter of time before they roll the fix out to us in Australia ... keep checking.

Same here. One stopped playing Melbourne radio stations. The other four continue to work as normal. Tried re- installing and restarting the router. The phone home app says its playing but it's not. Nothing has helped also.
Saturday
Further to the one speaker out of the five I have that stopped playing a second one that was working has now stopped. Both these are the type with a screen. So are only the ones with a screen being effected? The other three that are still working are without a screen. Seeing that others are effected also it looks like this is Google issue.
Saturday
Sounding more like a Google firmware problem. As Google rolls out this latest firmware in a staged way across different nest devices, that is possibly the trigger for the radio function to stop working.
Come on Google ... time for some action here
Saturday
Are google even doing anything or at least reading our comments here or feedback or reports we are sending
Monday
It is definitely a Google issue. My two nests that don’t have a screen have stopped working too in addition to the hub with a screen. Have reset to factory settings without success.

Have you tried swiping to the Media tile or screen?
If I start the radio on the gen2, I can then use the select other devices function to also play on another device. This is the work around that is working for me currently.
Friday
Yes found out this morning the work around does work thank you

Same here. It's just some stations that do not work. Nova 100 doesn't work while Coles Radio still works. I hope they figure out soon what's wrong.

Hi,
Some Melbourne radio stations such as Nova 100 and Joy stopped working on my Nest while others such as Coles Radio still work. Is there an issue? Is there anything I can do. I did a factory reset but this didn't help.

I have 5 devices in my home that can stream radio from Audacy. All of them work OK. Two of these devices are Home Hubs. One home hub will not play the exact same radio station from the exact same Google Assistant command. It will, however, play any other station as expected. It's just a single station it doesn't like even though the other Home Hub works fine. Both are at the same levels of firmware/software. It's been rebooted several times. Very odd...
Friday
Same issue! Started a couple of weeks ago!
Friday
Smathes89; this started with me a few weeks ago also. You aren't by chance listening to KTAR, are you? If not then it's probably not the radio station.
Friday
And now the other Home Hub has stopped playing the station. A few years ago, maybe, Google changed streaming providers from Tune-In to Audacy. I wonder if they're messing with providers again and the changes are slowly rolling out.
Friday
Same here, I listen to sports talk 94WIP in Philly on my nest, until last week. Now, it starts to load, fails, and shows a generic audacy icon.
Sunday
That's exactly what mine does. All the minis still work though as well as the Nest WiFis. So it seems it's a hub issue.
Sunday
Same - it's a hub issuie. My other speakers work fine. Frustrating.
Monday
does anybody from google listen here? i went all in on google home for audio. i have a bunch of them for all around home audio and they've gotten worse over the years. now this. both my hubs won't play a radio station that they've played forever, though the minis play it fine.
where is google support?!?!
Monday
Also having the same issue with Audacy. Trying to stream KYW News Radio and/or Sports Radio 94WIP in Philly and neither will load on my Nest Hubs or Nest Hub Max.
Monday
Same here. The logo pops up and does nothing? I have to always use the sister now
Tuesday
contacted Google support. All recommendations from them failed. waiting to hear if they will escalate the problem.
Tuesday
Thank you. May I ask how you contact google support? And, how long does it take to get a response?
Tuesday
I contacted via the home app help tab. Responded same day

Hey Google play Smoothe radio on Tune in. Or your station of your choice
Thursday
My Google nest hub no longer plays radio stations through radio app, However my other mini speakers continue to play the same stations.
This has continued for over a week now. I’ve researched a lot of the posts and tried different voice commands, rebooting the device without success.
Anyone else experiencing this ? I would appreciate suggestions.
Thanks

same issues
Friday
Similar, but not quite the same issue for me.
I can get radio to play to individual speakers, but not to the group I set up. It acknowledges the command to play, but then nothing happens.
This just started this morning for me.
I've tried all the "troubleshooting" I can think of.
Friday
Same issue. I use the normal voice instruction ("Heh Goggle play XXX" and the screen reacts however no connection appears to be made to the radio station. Same problem with iTunes radio.
Have disconnected, rebooted but no success. I can still play music via spotify using the normal voice instruction.

yesterday
I have tried "Hey Google play FiveAA on Tune in". It flashes up the Tune In logo, says "Welcome to Tune In", but does not play the radio station. Interestingly, I tried "Hey Google play Coast FM on Tune in" and then "Hey Google play triple J" or "Hey Google play triple J on radio app" or "Hey Google play triple J on TuneIn" all work.
Sunday
Also have the same problem. Started late last week.
Friday
New here and not very tech savvy, so forgive me if I get things wrong.
Starting this morning, I could not longer get my devices to stream live radio from TuneIn, Audacy, or IHeartRadio to the speaker group I set up. I can get it to play to to individual speakers, but when I ask to play to the group, nothing happens. It will say "playing [radio station requested] to [group name], but then nothing. I can play SiriusXM to the group, but nothing from the regular live radio apps will play to the group.
I have done a reboot of my router. I have unplugged and plugged in each individual speaker. I have reset to factory default each speaker. I have created a new group. But nothing seems to work for getting live radio to play to the group.
Thank you for any advise / help, or if there are any other questions you have, let me know.
Friday
Seems to be a complete outage. My Nest Hubs arent streaming live radio either, but Home Mini speakers are.
Monday
I’m having the same issue with 1 of my 3 google hubs, the other 2 recognise me saying hey google play fox fm but the 1 that isn’t working acts like it’s going to play but turns back the clock setting and doesn’t play. Very frustrating
a week ago
radio app has stopped working so I cannot listen to any local radio.
Spotify is still working but cuts off regularly and I have to restart. News works etc. I have rebooted and reset
Saturday
Stopped streaming radios via services like global player and rayo
Sunday
Happening to me also in Melbourne AU. Radio stopped working and looking at threads in reddit and here it is a well known and global issue. However the admins here seem to be locking the threads, not sure why that is as I can't find a solution anywhere.

Hi Lupo1970! Unfortunately, when it comes to third-party developers, there isn't much you can do except be patient. Global Player has some permission restrictions that prevent authentication and adding it to your services in the Google Home app. Sometimes, the following might help:
- Unlink the service from the Google Home app.
- Go directly to the Global Player app and enter your credentials to verify if it correctly recognizes your region, as it used to.
- Then, restart your phone to clear any cache that might be preventing connectivity, and disconnect any active VPNs.
- Link the service again through the Google Home app (you'll need to turn your phone back on, of course).
- Try using it. This sometimes resolves the issue.
If it doesn't work, we can only hope that Global Player fixes the error so we can use the service normally again.
I hope this helps you in some way!

Advice to users would have been nice but guess customer satisfaction is a very low priority with Google. Spent hours trying to work out what was wrong, doing factory reset ant then having to delete old account before being able to get the device working again. Disgraceful to not alert users in some way, wouldn’t have touched it had I been away that it was a Google issue…. Just get it fixed.
Saturday
It works done on all the non screen devices. Just the hub and hub max. Been for about a week in UK .
