Resetting hub max at new home

Alx714

Before leaving my old home. I did not reset my Google hub max nor did I delete it from my Google Home app or Nest app
I tried to set it up at my new home and got errors

so I deleted Google hub Max from the two other apps and restarted the setting procedure

even though I deleted the device from Nest app, and Google Home. It still says that it’s linked to a previous account and won’t let me set it up

I have confirmed that the device is no longer available on Nest app and Google Home

I have tried resetting the Google hub Max back to factory settings by holding the two volume up and down button simultaneously it allows me to start the setting process, but gives me an error halfway through informing me that the hub is already linked to another account

@Alx714

Are you pressing and holding both volume buttons for at least 10 seconds?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the help, MpIsCustomer.

Alx714, we appreciate your efforts in taking those steps. Let’s further look into it. Do you have home members in the Google Home app where your Google Nest Hub Max was previously linked? If so, members should also remove Google Nest Hub Max from their Google Home accounts. If they can’t find it in the Google Home app, go to Google Account’s Your Devices and remove it from there (if it’s visible). If not, unplug the Google Nest Hub Max and wait for at least 48 hours, then do another factory reset before setting up the device again.

Regards,
Alex
