I just bought a Lenovo clock with Google Assistant (2nd generation), and it is telling me that the app isn't communicating with the clock. I'm not sure what to do, as I have tried for around half an hour, to no avail.

Please note that we have very limited support on third party speakers with built-in Google Assistant like Lenovo. You might need to reach out to them for better assistance.
Speaking on behalf of our Google Home speakers and displays, your phone must be on the same WiFi network as your devices in order to set up the device. Let me know if I can assist with anything about the Google Home/Nest devices.
