Setting up a Routine with Google Speaker

Hi!

I'm trying to set up a new 'study' routine with my Google Home Mini through the Google Home App. However, each time I set it up, it does not register with my Mini? Like each time I say "Hey Google, study time," it just tells me how much it enjoys learning rather than the actual routine I've set up.

Also, whenever I try and set up a default device, it only uses my phone?

Any help on how I can get my Mini to perform this routine would be great.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're still having. 

Have you tried deleting and re creating the Routines?

I would also suggest doing a factory reset on your device as it may be the problem.

Hey GarrettDS,

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working. Whenever I create a new routine called "Study time", and then ask google for "Study time" it keeps saying how much it loves learning and that kind of thing. I've reset my Mini and the same thing keeps happening. 

I'm not sure - any other tips?

At this time, I would suggest visiting our Google Assistant Forum and writing to them there as this is a question that they would be able to help answer.

Hi GarrettDS, thanks for your response.

The troubleshooting section only mentions a compatible device (presumably regarding PhillipsHue, and/or Google Home Mini) and language settings. So I don't think either of those are of any help, unfortunately.

I had read that article previously, but no luck finding anything that could help.

Any other suggestions?
