Google assistant will not start a shopping list. Requests permission to ask personal questions

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please tell us what Google Home/Nest speaker are you using? Also, is your account linked to the speaker? Let's make sure that these settings are set:

Turn on personalization:

When this setting is on, Google Assistant can read info like your shopping list and help you with payments.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app .
2. At the bottom, tap Home .
3. Touch and hold your speaker or Smart Display.
4. At the top right, tap Device settings Recognition & sharing Recognition & personalization.
5. Turn on Allow personal results.
