Why do my groups keep disappearing on my Google Home app? I've rebooted my modem several times I've even rebooted my speakers and reconnected them and renamed the groups after canceling or deleting the groups. Still nothing. I've cleared the cash I've deleted the app and reinstalled it many times without success. The groups continue to appear and then disappear and it's getting frustrating as you can imagine. Any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix it permanently.

Hey @mjcasey you've clearly done the normal troubleshooting steps that are recommended. The only other thing I can suggest is going into the Home app to each device's setting and forgetting the network. Then in your phone's main settings remove the network on your phone, then set up the phone again. Once the phone is connected, go in and add each speaker back to the refreshed network.
You may need to reassign them to rooms again too, so just a heads up.

BTW I appreciate your willingness to help. I don't want to sound ungrateful.

I completely removed all right of my Nest speakers and reconnected my Hub Max (upstairs) and Hub 2nd gen (downstairs) as new and still cannot see my speaker groups. I know I am not the only one experiencing these kinds of issues and can only assume Google is well aware, but choose not to share what the issue is for one reason or another. I need help that will really resolve my issues.

Hello Jake,
I continue to have problems with my speakers dropping off of view on Google Home. I restart my modem I for stopped the app clear cache and it still does not work. Sometimes some speakers work other times they don't sometimes others do not show up at all. It's quite frustrating as you can imagine because I've got about nine speakers around the house. Anything you can do to advise or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi mjcasey,
Thanks for all the details you've shared as well as making efforts on trying some steps.
Can you please list down how many Google Home/Nest speakers are set up to your network? Also, what are the distance of each speakers from the router as well as other speakers?
Lastly, can you confirm if these speakers can play songs individually so we can isolate further what's causing this to happen?
Keep me posted.
Best,
Princess

I appreciate your willingness to try and help. I have right next speakers throughout the house with one Google hub max and two Google hubs. My house is 1,700 square feet up and down and each speaker is roughly 20-30 ft away from the router. I have for sisters in the corner of the living room, one in the kitchen with the Hub Max, one in the bathroom, and two in my office with another Hub. My daughter has her Hub in her bedroom.
Sometimes I can play music or podcasts through the speakers individually and sometimes in groups. But oftentimes they don't show up at all or if they do they are not connected to the Wi-Fi. I'll reboot my modem and sometimes they'll show back up sometimes not right away and sometimes later in the day. I actually went through and reset everything including all of the speakers and the hub max and the two hubs and I still have issues.

Hi mjcasey,
Thanks for the details you've shared. Since you mentioned that some speakers are roughly 20-30 feet away from each other and the router, is there any way that you can try to move it closer and test it out to see if there's any changes on its behavior? I would just like to rule out to make sure we're checking all the bases.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Princess
