Speaker language cannot be changed

My wife is Japanese, i set her side of a Nest Audio pair to Japanese when I set it up, now my entire house thinks it's Japanese

Factory reset doesn't reset the language, there is no other option in the Google home UI to change it

Now my google music (yt music) shows artist and album in Japanese

My speakers randomly respond in japanese, even to english commands

Left speaker:
System firmware version: 384934
Cast firmware: 2.58.384934
Language: 日本語
MAC address: AC:
Country code: TH
IP address: ############

Right speaker:
System firmware version: 384934
Cast firmware: 2.58.384934
Language: English (Australia)
MAC address: AC:
Country code: TH
IP address: ##########

Should.i throw this speaker in the bin?

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/language using the Google account you will use for setup.
  2. Change the language to your desired language.
  3. Open your phone or tablet's settings app and change the region/language to your desired language. Remove any other languages. You can add these back after setting up the device.
  4. Uninstall the Google Home app from your phone or tablet.
  5. Factory reset your device.
  6. Install the Google Home app again, and retry setup. It should now display in the language you selected.

There we no languages to delete, I only had english Australia

But it worked, no more Japanese

But it now says en-sg..... Oh well close enough, why you just can't set it directly, honestly
