I have 8 speakers connected to my Google Assistant (home pair, mini gen2 pair, mini gen1 pair, and single minis). I normally broadcast from Spotify but broadcast from YouTube does the same.
They are set up in several groups. When I play the speaker group that contains all of them, the music becomes choppy and sometimes just turns off. I can play music on 5 or 6 of the speakers no problem.
I normally get about 200Mbps internet speed (though I pay for 400 Xfinity), but when the speakers become choppy, the speed goes down to as low as 50Mbps. Xfinity claims they are sending the right speed though they have never seen their speed when my speakers are chopping. Xfinity replaced the modem/router but it didn’t help.
I've reinstalled all the speakers. Unless there is another possible solution, I'm next going to move my modem/router to a better spot. That's a big job so hoping there's another answer.
Any ideas? / thanks

@kozmob I have the same amount of speakers and use a signal repeater, which may be easier than moving your router if that's a big headache. There is no official indication about the number of speakers, but I'm sure that varies depending on the environment.
Keep in mind if your WiFi signal is 5ghz, it doesn't travel as far or traverse walls and obstacles as well as 2.4ghz, so that could be a factor too.

@GothamNY, thanks. I finally did the 2.4G solution and it seems to have worked. No stutters in the 24 hours. I put off doing this cuz I have 8 speakers, 3 groups, and 3 pairs to completely reprogram.
thanks again.

Hey there!
We haven't heard back from kozmob, and it's been a few days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
Thank you for your help, GothanNY!
Best regards,
