How do I configure YouTube Music on the Home Hub so that it does not play music videos, only music audio?
I just want to hear the music, whereas playing music videos is using up my Internet data cap unnecessarily.
System firmware version: 16.20231130.3.48
UPDATED NOTE: I've already disabled music videos in the YoutTube Music app settings on my phone, but this has done nothing for the music playing on the Nest Hub. In any case, the settings should be separate (someone should be able to watch music videos on their phone while not playing music videos on their Google/Nest Home display)

Hi jmsgomes,
Thanks for posting and letting us know about your YouTube music concern. You can toggle the option to disable playing videos on YouTube Music. See the steps below:

Hi Juni,
I had already done that and it has no effect on the videos playing on the Nest Hub, so my question is still unanswered.
I believe your answer only applies to the YouTube Music app showing videos on a phone or other device where the app is installed - I looked and there is no YouTube Music app to be found on the Nest Home Hub (you might be answering questions on the wrong forum?)

Hi there,
Got it. Right now, there is no option to disable this feature on Google Nest Hub. We appreciate people who are keen on sharing their thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it. See the article below on how to do it.

It's on the app on the phone only, not effecting the google hub.

Same problem here. I do want to watch music videos on YouTube Music on my phone but not in my Nest Hub Max. This is a problem with my son getting distracted watching videos when he's getting ready for school. I just want to return this "upgrade" to my Google Nest Mini assistant.

Hi Chocolatta,
Thanks for the details you’ve shared, and we understand the importance of them. There is no option to totally block YouTube videos on your Google Nest displays. We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback. We don't have anything else to share right now, but stay tuned for more news and updates.
Best,
Juni

Same issue on 2 of my devices. I cannot have music videos playing on these devices while I"m trying to work or soothe kids with music in the background. If this can't be fixed then does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement that does not do this but still has the screen ability to display weather, calendar, or recipes?

I have the same issue and it makes the service borderline unusable when my kids are around. This should be an easy fix (the phone app already has a preference setting). Looking at you, Nest developers with kids!
