Strange Nest hub screen and unreachable menu

Hello,

 My Nest Hub has since sometime this year added an orange outline on the border of the screen.

 Further, since the orange outline appeared, the meny which used to be available by drawing finger upwards from bottom of screen does no longer show, and the speaker only says the word "standard".

 Is there some remedy for this?

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered an orange outline on the border on the Nest Hub screen, and the menu is unreachable. I'd be happy to help!

Since you've mentioned that the speaker only says the word "standard," would you mind recording a short video of the Nest Hub behavior? Additionally, to better investigate the inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:

  • What generation of Nest Hub do you have (1st or 2nd gen)?
  • Was the device dropped or knocked over?
  • Is the display still working?
  • If you give any command, is the display's assistant able to work as it should?
