Strange behaviour from Nest Hub

OK, I am not sure what is happening but my Nest Hub started to play “Stop” by the Spice Girls whenever I give command “stop”. And since the two (song name and command) are interchangeable I cannot stop the music unless I perform a screen touch to stop (Spotify), No offense to fans of the band but it got so annoying I have now disconnected my Hub and Al*xa is now in charge of my living room. I cant believe that this would only happen to me though. Help?!

Same issue for me. It’s been doing this for the last few days. Have to say “stop playing music”. It’s really annoying and makes no sense.
also, why does saying “hey google stop” not work for alarms but just “stop” does?  Should I change over to Alexa? There seem to be more and more of these sorts of issues with every “feature” they add. Get the basics right before adding new features!!!

Same here. Spice girls are driving me crazy! I can't ask "Hey google, play X" anymore. I was able to, up to a couple of days ago. Now I get told what the first three tracks of the album are and no music. I have Spotify premium linked to my account.

Oh, I just noticed the same behaviour as well.

1. command to play an album is given (Spotify Premium)

2. Hub responds with how many tracks there are in the album

3. Hub then highlights first three tracks as if it was going to play them as samples

4. then does not even play those tracks and returns to the main screen (clock)

Very very annoying! Plus my Spotify account now thinks Spice Girls is my favorite band so songs from Spice Girls and similar music are on my top recommendation.

Hey all,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble with the device playing music, and not stopping when requested. I would be happy to assist and ensure the devices are working as intended. Do you mind me asking if you have reset the devices at all? Do you have the latest software update installed?

Please let me know, as I would be happy to assist further.

Best regards,

Jake

The issue has not happened for past 48hrs after I have brought back Hub online (Al*xa - is still standing next to the hub ready to take over in moments notice though). I guess Spice Girls have disbanded once again. Cheers
