How did you get to the point where you are?

Did you change your Wi-Fi network? If so, you should have removed the Nest Hub Max from your Google Home app first (while still on the old Wi-Fi network) and then did a factory reset.(https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7170507?hl=en#zippy=%2Cif-your-speaker-or-display-is-cu...)

Google Nest claims you should still be able to do a factory reset to get going out of your predicament, but there are posts in this forum saying otherwise.

When you do the factory reset, does the Max say it is resetting?

Some posts in this forum have this workaround for when a Nest Hub Max needs further resetting; I have no idea whether it's helpful; I'm just passing it on:

  • At the back of the Nest display, unplug the power cord and wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until the screen with G logo shows up
Repeat step one, 10 more times. (For a complete total of 11 times).
  • After plugging the power cord back in, wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce "Welcome to Google Home" to signify that it's ready for setup.

This worked!! Absolute legend! Shame I threw it at the ground and broke the charging cable before this 😂
