My google nest will set a timer but when timer goes off, no sound comes out. I have checked the volume prior to timer and it’s on loudly. It’s been unplugged and plugged in many times with same result. Thanks.

Hi ClarkFam7,
Have you also checked the device settings for alarms and timers volume?

I have tried that multiple times and I adjust the volume to 8, 9 or 10 even and no sound comes out when my timer goes off

Hey ClarkFam7,
Apologize for the delays. Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just to add have you tried resetting your device to see if it will have the same behavior? Also, could you tell us the what specific Google Home/Nest device are you having an issue with?
@Cathal_S: Appreciate your help here.
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,

I have a Google Nest Hub and it has the same issue, timers won't audibly ring, despite volume being adjusted. Are you able to share how this issue was resolve please. Thank you.

Hello pinklady,
Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Google Nest Hub. A few questions: when did the issue start? Is there a sound for alarms? How about when you're playing music?
Let's go ahead and reset your Google Nest Hub by pressing and holding both volume buttons together, at the back of the Nest Hub, for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting the Nest Hub.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

Thanks, Muddi.
The sounds were find with alarms and music, it was just the timer which had no sound. Resetting it has resolved the issue. Thanks so much 😊.
