Trying to set up an Apple HomePod Mini as a device on my Google account

I can’t find where google will allow me to set up any device that is not a google device. Even in this blog I had to select all google products to get to this point.

HomePod is an Apple product. You can't use the Google Home app for setup. Follow these steps:
