Unwanted Mirroring

Glennr
Community Member

The only devices I have on my home device is a couple of lights and no know mirrored devices.

Today I was sitting next to my display. It made a tone and then a display of a phone showed on the screen. It was active with typing being shown and did not go away.

How can I stop this in the future?

It sounds like someone else is using your wifi. Change your wifi password.

Yes my family is using the same network password but how do I stop seeing their screens on the home device?

Hey there,

Thanks for the help. Kajok.

Glennr, other member of your household can mirror their phone if they are using the Google Home app and also using an Android phone. For iPhone users, they can also use a different mirroring app. As long as your devices are connected to the same network, they have a chance to mirror or cast their phone to your display.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Alex
