Use centigrade for cooking

The UK went metric well over 50 years ago, before almost everyone here was born or went to school. But you keep giving cooking information in Fahrenheit or American things like sticks and cups. Can we have metric please, like almost the entire world uses? Not just for weather.

I don't think the UK have gone fully metric.

I watch UK shows Top Gear and Fully Charged on YouTube and they're still using brake horsepower and 0 to 60 miles per hour alongside storage in litres and kilograms which is really confusing.

In Australia we really went metric within 11 years. The UK is still in transition after 50 years.

Yes, we do still use mph on the roads. But anyone who was officially taught imperial measurements at school is fast approaching retirement age or older. Our ovens and airfryers are in centigrade.

Hi polskii,

Thanks for letting us know about your interest in changing measurement units on your Google device.

Currently, you can only change the weather unit to your preference. Here's how to do that: Choose a weather unit.

While you can't change other measurement units yet, you can submit feedback to Google Nest to request this feature. Here's how to do that:  Share feedback about Google Nest

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Angel

Interestingly, centigrade is an old fashioned name for Celsius.

I can find a setting (Assistant Settings) to change the Weather temperature unit between Fahrenheit or Celcius, but nothing else so far.

What about other units of measurement?
